THE NEW 2016 RIPROCK KIDS’ MOUNTAIN BIKE
Designed Trail Tough, the Riprock can handle anything a little ripper can throw at it.
Designed to handle everything from suburban curb drops to mountain fire roads to wooded single track, the Riprock is next level fun for kids’ mountain biking. The Riprock is designed for the sons and daughters of mountain bike parents whose primary goals are to get out, have fun, and help their little shredders improve their skills and confidence.
“Our goal was to design a kids’ bike that can rip trail on weekend mountain trips, as well as provide the ability to have a blast while simply riding around the neighborhood on weekday evenings,” said Dan Allen, Specialized Product Manager.
Go anywhere – With super wide, 2.8-inch Big Roller tires, the Riprock rides with tons of traction, comfort, and stability over any and all types of terrain. A 60mm or 70mm front suspension fork provides control and fun when the bumps get bigger. And even with all that off-road capability, the Riprock is surprisingly lightweight.
Safety in mind – Little ones are always pushing the limits, so Specialized equipped every Riprock with disc brakes (mechanical or hydraulic, depending on the size and model) to improve stopping power and to allow for small hands to engage the brakes faster and easier. The Riprock also features a lower top tube to make standing over and getting on and off the bike easier and safer for smaller riders. The 1X drivetrain with a grip shift offers the same range of gears as traditional kids’ bikes, without the hassle and complication of a front derailleur. So kids can focus on their riding, instead of their shifting.
Built to last – The Riprock features a Specialized A1 Premium Aluminum frame that’s lightweight and built to handle relentless abuse. The low standover allows a smaller child to ride the frame, extending its fit range. The bike rolls on high-end, corrosion-resistant aluminum wheels with stainless spokes that decrease weight and increase strength.
The Riprock’s stable and durable design withstands the toughest conditions and will be sure to bring a smile to its rider’s face for years to come.
The Riprock will be available for both boys and girls, sizes 20-inch and 24-inch.
